people of Cite Soleil, Haiti and neighboring communities through evangelism, church
planting, medical treatment, education, and nutrition.

and the associated outreach programs (medical clinics and
schools) at these sites. |

HOM partnership with Food for the Poor computer printer cartridge
recycling |
| For anyone who wishes to start recycling printer cartridges, HOM is working with Food for the Poor to arrange for an additional source of food for the schools. HOM will gain credits with FFTP for each cartridge
that is sent to the FFTP recycler. We will see how much food that nets per unit, but regardless, it is an improvement since it will provide a source beyond the local market and
cash. From the individual's perspective, each church would collect the cartridges and mail them off to the recycler in provided
boxes. At some point, when credits are enough, FFTP will ship a quantity of food for the
schools. As all this transpires, we will keep everyone apprised and provide updates, as appropriate. |
| Steps for each church: |
- Go to the FFTP website, and fill out the
form:
www.foodforthepoor.org/forms/recycle
- Use your church's name
and address so that the recycler will ship you
whatever boxes you request
- In the comments field, type in:
"accounting
#40181”
- Collect cartridges -
laser toner and inkjet. Check the FFTP website
for which cartridges are recyclable. In general,
only cartridges from the original equipment
manufacturer are useful (so refurbished, generic
ones should not be shipped)
- When you have a box
full, ship them. The boxes will be pre-labeled
with addresses and postage.
- Repeat the process
